Are we born in sin?

Published on: November 28th, 2023 Updated on: December 16th, 2023

One common doctrine we find in the religious world is the idea of "total depravity". This teaches that each of us inherits a "sinful nature" that began with Adam's sin and is part of our nature from birth. It is the foundation of Calvinism, a doctrine that many denominations embrace at least partially. But as is noted in this video we need to be noble and "search the scriptures" (Acts 17:11) to determine if this idea of being "born in sin" is from God or man. We encourage all to open their Bibles, be noble, and search to see the Bible's truth (Acts 17:11).

What about my family?

Published on: November 21st, 2023 Updated on: December 16th, 2023

The question 'What about my family?' is often raised when we recognize that the teachings of the Bible have not been adhered to by some members of our family, both in the past and present. In this brief video, we explore the motivation to obey God's commands, which can arise from reflecting on this question. Rather than avoiding obedience to God due to the actions of others, we should be inspired to establish a pattern of love and obedience to God for others to emulate. We encourage all to open their Bibles, be noble, and search to see the Bible's truth (Acts 17:11).

Do you believe in spirit led worship?

Published on: November 14th, 2023 Updated on: December 16th, 2023

You may hear of those who say they are "led by the Spirit" to worship in a certain fashion. Come call it "Spirit Led Worship." And while it might be something that has an emotional appeal to many, we need to look to God's Word to see what He has said about such. When we do we will find that worship to God is much different that is often taught - it is to be in truth, it is to be according to His Word which is truth (Luke 8:11). Since worship of God is such an amazing opportunity, join us as we look to God's teaching on how such is to be guided. We encourage all to open their Bibles, be noble, and search to see the Bible's truth (Acts 17:11).

Do we really know what the Bible says?

Published on: November 7th, 2023 Updated on: December 16th, 2023

It is common to hear people say that we can't really know what the Bible says. Many excuses are given - it is too old, it has been translated too many times - on and on the excuses go. But as we look at these claims and compare them to Bible truth and simple logic we come to a different answer. It becomes a personal battle whether we will believe God and His power or fall prey to the false ideas of man. Of course, the truth of God's Word enables us to know how we ought to live here and have the hope of eternal life. Let's all determine to give an honest examination of the question! We encourage all to open their Bibles, be noble, and search to see the Bible's truth (Acts 17:11).
